This is the original design of the Cicada by Louis Sicard – the Father of the Cicadas –   You receive a Certificate of  Authenticity with each model, certifying that you are in possession of a true Cicada by Louis Sicard.

Hand made and hand painted in Provence, France.  This popular “porte bonheur” en Provence, is a symbol of bringing prosperity  and good  luck to your home. These beautifully designed creatures are offered in five sizes (extra-small, small, medium, large and ex-large).  Wall pocket, holds water.

Sizes:  -Xsmall:  4.5″ Length – Small: 5 1/2″  – Medium: 7 “, Large: 10″ – X-Large: 12” length.

With the Exception of the x-Small size, all other sizes come packaged in a gift carton and a certificate of Authenticity.  The history of the Cicada is explained in English and French on both the box as well as the ciertificate.
